It was a nice SL30 breakup but I believe the 30M was sitting right at 9EMA resistance and that failed the trade.

VVUS was an ETB short and holding up on lots of volume today. The first morning move had a nice squeeze then pullback a bit and consolidated in a channel all afternoon. I was expecting a short squeeze after lunch since this had a lot of resistance near the highs at 3.90. After it broking through 3.90s with high volume I thought we were going to see a massive squeeze because all day I thought shorts were piling in, When it squeeze passed the HOD I waited for it to pull back and hold so it could make a move higher but it only squeezed up to 4.15 and stuffed all the way back down. I had a stop loss at 3.88. I wanted to take profit at 4.25 but I didn't get the move.

Great SL30 breakdown. 30 M was looking good. It worked out well. Daily was good for a long though overall as the stock was slightly gapping up and then ran up with the market for the rest of the day.

The setup was a nice SL30 but the stock was just too strong!
Actually, now that I looked at the daily properly, I can see what the problem was. The stock was selling off for straight 4 days and today it was bullish with SPY.
It was a bad idea to short it. Good thing I got out with a small loss as the stock rallied up for the whole day.
